Doris Killen 1905 - 2004 Doris Killen, 98, formerly of Shediac Road. Moncton, passed away at the Jordan Lifecare Center in River Glade, NB on Monday, April 19, 2004. Born in Amherst, NS. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ella (Coneen) Powell. Doris was a designer and co-owner with her late husband, Everett D. Killen of the Margaret Wortman Flower Shop, which they operated for 29 years. She was a life member of Humphrey Memorial United Church, Massey Ave. Moncton, and she was secretary of the Ladies Guild and a former Sunday School teacher. She is survived by her son, Robert Killen (Claudette Leger) of Moncton; three grandchildren, Darlene (Michael) of Dartmouth, twins, James of Dartmouth and Joanne (Andrew) of Fredericton; several great grandchildren; one brother, Burton R. Powell (Jean) of Moncton and by several nieces and nephews and by cousin, Barbara Clogg. She was predeceased by her husband, Everett D. Killen on September 22, 1969. It is Doris' request, no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. A private graveside and committal service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring with Rev. Andrew Richardson officiating.
