Shirley B. Mellish FREDERICTON, NB - The death of Shirley B. Mellish of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, April 22, 2004. Born in Moncton, NB, daughter of Douglas and Shirley (Barry) Mellish. Shirley is survived by her parents; two daughters, Hazel Hatch and Heather Hatch, both of Fredericton, NB; two brothers, Douglas Mellish and his wife, Becky, and Michael Mellish and his wife, Karen, all of Moncton, NB; one sister, Hazelanne Nielsen and her husband Denis of Moncton, NB; two half sisters, Diane Wingo of Halifax, NS, and Nancy Wicks of Dartmouth, NS; one sister-in-law, Minerva Mellish and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by one nephew, Denis Douglas Nielsen. Shirley had a lifelong interest in gardening, quilting, painting and was an avid collector of folk music. She was employed with the Department of Natural Resources with the Province of New Brunswick. There will be no visitation at Shirley's request. A memorial service will be held at River Valley Funeral Services, 50 Avonlea Court, Fredericton, NB, (4554267) on Monday, April 26, 2004 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating. A reception will be held at the funeral home immediately following the memorial service.
