Kenneth George Steeves 1920 - 2004 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth George Steeves, 83, father, grand father, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, at the Moncton Hospital on April, 26, 2004, following a brief battle with cancer. Born in Lakeville, NB on December 22,1920 to the late William and Annie (McAfee) Steeves. Ken moved to Taylor Village, NB in his early teens and farmed there until 1957 when he went to work in the construction industry, as a truck driver/heavy equipment operator. From 1970 until his retirement in 1983, he was employed at Mount Allison University as a custodian. He was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church and was a resident of Riverview. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Evelyn Bell (Howard) of Winnipeg; a son, Reginald (Lina) of Memramcook; three grandchildren, Kenneth Steeves, Deborah Knorr (Jeff) and Buffy Ellis; six great grandchildren, Janice Ellis, Jamie Lynn Ellis, Marco Steeves, Julia Steeves, Savannah Steeves, and Amber Knorr. He is also survived by one sister, Ruby Gentile (Robert) of Mississauga; numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friend and partner over the last 12 years, Lillian Steeves. He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel in 1990; four sisters, Hilda, Verna, Lottie, and Myrtle; six brothers, Marvin, Havard, Weldon, Lealand, Elton, and Hollis. With respect to Ken's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service, a family grave side service will be held at a later date. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
