Alcide Brun 1923 - 2004 GRAND-PRÉ, SHEDIAC - Mr. Alcide Brun, 81, of Grand-Pré, Shediac passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a brief illness Born April 14, 1923 in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lina (Léger) Brun. Prior to his retirement, he was the operator and proprietor of Brun Grocery in Shediac for 18 years, a past employee with Landry & Landry and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife Hectorine (LeBlanc) Brun; a daughter, Anne Brun (George) of Scoudouc; four sisters, Francine Wade (Henri) of Mississauga, ON., Rita Juneau of Scarborough, ON., Marguerite Cormier (Valerie) and Alice LeBlanc (Lloyd) all of Shediac; four brothers, Clorice (Rachel) of Shediac, Louis (Rita) of Grand-Barachois, Alonzo of Rochester, NY, Georges (Jeanne) of Kanata, ON.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Florida Downing, Ozilia Haché, and five brothers, Léo, Lévi, Eloi, Fred, Clarence. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Saturday from 9a.m. until time of departure at 9:50a.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 10a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
