Robert "Bob" Burke Robert "Bob" Burke, 71, of Moncton passed away Sunday, May 9, 2004 at his residence following a sudden illness. Born October 11, 1932 in Charlottetown, he was the son of the late Charles and Gladys (Mullins) Burke. He was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces following 35 years service, and from D.N.D. Supply Depot No.5. Bob was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch No. 6, the Air Force Vets Club, and the Moncton Press Club. He is survived by four children, Elaine Fitzpatrick (Roy) and Patrick (Grace), both of Calgary, Michael (Karen) of Dean, NS, Richard (Valerie) of Moncton; seven grandchildren, Fallon, Stephanie, Denise, Stephen, Shawn, Christopher, Nolan; five greatgrandchildren; a brother Brian, (Judith) of Dalvy, PEI; a special friend, Anne Firlotte of Moncton; his former wife, Helen Bond (Gerry) of Shediac; several nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Charlie and Jack. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900). Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until time of departure (9:15). The funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004 at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. in The Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown, PEI. The Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6 will hold a service of remembrance Wednesday at 7 p.m. from the funeral home.
