Louise Manicom TRURO HEIGHTS, NS - Louise Amanda (nee Boudreau) Manicom, 75, of Truro Heights, passed away May 16, 2004 surrounded by her family in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Sackville, New Brunswick on April 14, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Aime and Alvina (nee McGraw) Boudreau. She was the devoted wife of the late Keith Manicom for 52 years. She was a dedicated mother who instilled a sense of adventure, value of responsibility and love of family to her children. She was a champion for the underdog and was involved in many community organizations throughout her life including the Gyrette Club of Truro. Surviving are sons, Edward (Dallas), Larry (Brenda), Alex (Heidi), all of Truro; daughters, Christine (Alan Naugle), JoAnn (John Mumford), both of Truro, Debra (Bruce Purcell) Lakeside, Halifax Co., Lori (Kerry Robinson) Fort Smith, NWT; 17 grandchildren; brothers, John (Aurore), Springfeild, Mass., Reginald (Madeleine), Chauteaugay, Que.; sister, Emily Plante, Moncton, N.B.. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, May 18 from 7-9pm in Colchester Community Funeral home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro. Private interment will take place following the mass.
