Poul E. J. Vinqvist 1929 - 2004 DORCHESTER, NB - Poul Vinqvist, husband of Stella of Dorchester NB, passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 28, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on November 29, 1929, Poul retired after 33 years of service with the Correctional Service of Canada, (Dorchester Penitentiary / Westmoreland Institution). An avid sailor, Poul was a member of the Shediac Bay Marina, and the Canadian Power & Sail Squadron. He is survived by his wife, Stella (Babin); sons, Stephen (Anita) of Moncton, Paul (Janet) of Memramcook, Peter (Florine) of Dorchester; grandchildren, Peter and Samantha; as well as his extended family in Denmark. Friends and colleagues may pay their respects at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 from 2-4 PM. At the request of the family there will be no public funeral service. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a preferred charity.
