Shannon Kathleen McDonald 1982 - 2004 Shannon Kathleen McDonald, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, June 5, 2004 after a long illness. Born in Halifax on February 16, 1982, she was the beloved daughter of Neil and Irene (Bates) McDonald, and the much loved and very special sister of Erin Miller (Rob) of Moncton and Heather (fiance, Wayne Proudfoot) of Fredericton. During her short life she faced many challenges with a strong will and endless patience. Her big welcoming smile was a joy to all who knew her. Despite her limitations she had the ability to touch people in a way that needed no words. She was a parishioner of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church. Besides her parents and sisters, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Regis and Veronica McDonald of Cape Breton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Emmett and Agnes Bates of New Waterford, NS. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz Street, Moncton, on Monday, June 7, 2004 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm with parish prayer service to be held at 8:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at 11:00 am with Fr. Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shannon to the Pediatric Dept. of The Moncton Hospital or to the I.W.K.
