Jean Brooks 1921 - 2004 Jean Brooks, of Cleveland Ave., Riverview, passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen on Friday, June 18, 2004, at the age of 82. Born in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie (MacEachern) Fownes. She was an active charter member of the Riverview Baptist Church and an avid quilter. She is survived by a son, Brian Brooks (Sheila) of St. Stephen, NB; two daughters, Margaret Gibbs (Charles) of Niagara Falls, ON and Audrey Mason of St. Stephen, NB; two sisters, Margaret MacDougall of Amherst, NS and Muriel Alward of Moncton; eight grandchildren, Carolyn Gibbs, Joanne Gibbs, Lorraine Gibbs,Tracy Morrell, Lea Bard, Jennie Wilson, Matthew Mason and Kathleen Mason; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Brooks; sisters, Dorcas Fownes and Lillian White; and a brother Donald Fownes. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service with be held at the Riverview Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jonathan Gorham officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
