Lindsay J. MacCurdy

Lindsay J. MacCurdy Lindsay J. MacCurdy, 77, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, July 4, 2004. Born in Black Point, son of the late James and Catherine (Hamilton) MacCurdy. Lindsay was a former employee of the T. Eaton Company Ltd. with over 20 years service and a retired purchasing agent with M. F. M. Industries Ltd. with 29 years service. He was a member of St. John's United Church and served his church in various capacities in past years. Lindsay was an avid hockey fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and he attended and supported our local teams: Moncton Jr. A. Beavers, University hockey and our former Moncton Franchise in the AHL. One of his biggest enjoyments, besides his family, was working in his flower garden, planting and attending to trees. Lindsay will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Helen (Ward) MacCurdy; daughters, Ruth Doucet (Stephen), Sea Side, Joan MacCurdy (Kevin), Charlo; son, George, Moncton; grandchildren, Erin and Craig; brother, Byron, Black Point; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters, Helen and Margaret. No visitation by personal request. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, July 7, 2004, 1:30 pm. Rev. Ross Wiseman officiating. Reception following the service. Interment New Mills Cemetery.
