Gladys E. Trites SALISBURY, NB - Gladys Elizabeth Trites, 71, of Reeder Road, Salisbury passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Anagance, she was a daughter of the late Kilgour and Mary (Middleton) Smith. A homemaker, in her early working years she was a telephone operator in Petitcodiac. She was a member of the Salisbury United Church and a former charter member of the Salisbury Lioness. She will be sadly missed by her family including her beloved husband of 51 years, Arnold; children, Brian (Karen), Brenda Lewis (Ritchie), Kevin (Jane) of Salisbury, Debbie MacLeod (Terry) of Lewis Mountain; cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsay, Carl, Christa, Cody and Carson. Survived also by sisters, Lois Woodard of Moncton, Marjorie Powell of Petitcodiac; a brother, Arthur Smith (Mabel) of Anagance and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Edith Fawcett; brothers, Gerald and Rae Smith. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. K. Zwicker officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.
