After a courageous battle with cancer, our Rosie passed peacefully away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s. She was 69 years old. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary Ellen and William Luby and brothers and sisters, Leonard, Bill, Mike, John, Rita and Theresa. Leaving to mourn her daughter Andrea (Manrique Mata-Montero); grandson Joshua; sisters: Margaret, Bonnie and Agnes; nieces: Claudette and Celine (Joseph Hanlon); nephew Bill and great-niece Katie and many other nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held at Caul’s Chapel. Donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Foundation or the S.P.C.A.
