Adolphe J. Gallant

Adolphe J. Gallant 1927 - 2004 RIVERVIEW, NB - Adolphe Gallant passed away at the Dr. G. L. Dumont Hospital on Monday, July 26, 2004 following a lengthy illness at the age of 77. He was the son of the late Placide Gallant and Delia (Vautour) of St. Charles, NB. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucille (Blanchard) Gallant, of Riverview; three sons, Maurice (Betty) of Saint John, Wayne (Nora) of Riverview, Michael (Lisa) of Dieppe; four daughters, Patsy Minor (Dennis) and Marlene Saunders (Earl) of Riverview, Dianne Scott (Jeff) of Rollingdam, Yvette (Blake) of Saint John; a great Aunt Fabiola Gray of Moncton; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Bella LeBlanc of St. Paul, Semida Poirier (Marcel) and Elodie Maillet (Alonzo) of Mass, Fabiola Pitre and Regina Chevarie of Saint John; four brothers, Leonard, Hubert (Aline), Thomas and Joseph (Dianna) all of St. Charles; as well as several nieces and nephews. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed for 39 years by SMT Amalgamated Transit Union Local No. 1229 as a body repairman. He resided in Saint John for over 30 years prior to moving to Riverview in 1984. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton, with visiting hours on Wednesday, July 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, with Parish Prayers at 8:30 PM . The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 5 Fatima Drive, Riverview, Fr. Jeff Doucette officiating. A reception for Adolphe's family and friends will immediately follow the service in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
