Frank M. Gordon Frank M. Gordon, 80, of Amherst, NS, passed away Friday, July 30, 2004 at Cumberland Health Care Center. Born in River Hebert, he was the son of the late Frederick and Florence (Fields) Gordon. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired lumberman, light housekeeper, and commissionaire. He is survived by his second wife, Gwen (Hughes); a son, Peter (Sharon), Boundary Creek, NB; a daughter Kathleen Spicer (Blaine), Apple River, NS; step-daughters, Diana Corey (Sterling), Havelock, NB, Margaret Collette, Cocagne, NB, LeEtta MacPherson (Robert), Edmonton, AB, Venesha Bowser (Larry), Prince George, BC; sisters, Hattie Hubley, Amherst Shore, NS, Ruby Betts, Strathacona, NS; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Barb, Apple River, NS. He was predeceased by his first wife, Doris Higton; a son Frederick; a sister, Frances. The funeral was held at the Apple River Baptist Church on August 1, 2004 with Rev. Donald Hirtle and Rev. Jack Palmer officiating. Burial was in the Advocate Cemetery.
