Alonzo Melanson BOUCTOUCHE, NB - Alonzo Melanson, 75, husband of Dorine (Bastarache) Melanson, passed away at the Dr. G. L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Sunday, August 8, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent, NB on July 8, 1929, he was the son of the late Clorice Melanson and Marie-Rose Dallaire. He was a carpenter doing wood finish and he attended Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche. He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved to step dance, and play several musical instruments. He is survived by his wife, Dorine Melanson; one daughter, Janice Melanson-Dowling (Mark) of Bouctouche; five sons, Raymond (Marilyn) of Rochester, Mass., Maurice (Colette) of Shalimar, Fl., Paul of Pleasant Hill, Ca., Robert (Holly) of Nashua, NH, David (Yvonne) of Modena, New York; three sisters, Aline Belliveau (William) of Shediac Bridge, Fernande Duval (Chester) of Waltham, Mass., Gérène Plouff (Francis) of Maynard, Mass.; two brothers, Vincent (Bernice) of Lancaster, Mass., Alderic of Shediac; six grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one sister, Huberte; two brothers, Roger, Laurie. Resting at Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., Bouctouche with visiting hours on Wednesday, August 11 from 7 to 9, and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche, NB on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
