Rita G. Collins July 1,1921- August 14, 2004 With her family by her side, Rita Collins, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, following a brief illness. Rita was the wife of the late, Leslie H. Collins and daughter of the late, Francis and Mary (Malone) O' Donnell. Born in Souris River, PEI. Rita was regional manager of Avon Cosmetics and owned Ambassador Greeting Services. In her retirement years, Rita was very active in the Moncton community, as the past president of St. Augustine's CWL, member of the Moncton North Women's Liberal Association and a proud member of the Irish Canadian Cultural Association. Her passion for politics and travelling the world could only be surpassed by her love of bridge. She was an avid bridge player and a member of several clubs, from which many of her lifelong friends were made. Rita was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. Rita will be sadly missed by her daughter, Carolyn Walsh, Moncton; three sons, William (Mable) Dunn, Victoria, BC., David (Michelle) Dunn, Shediac, NB., and Richard (Marlene) Dunn, Parksville, BC.; grandchildren, Tiffany and David Dunn, Meghan Walsh, Chad and Tyler Crawford; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Hilda M. Culkins, Hyannis, Massachusettes. Predeceased by her husband, William E. Dunn; three brothers, Chester, Lester and Ernest and two sisters, Grace and Blanche. Visiting hours will be held from Cadman's Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 10:30 am, with Fr. Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Souris, PEI.
