Rita Surette SHEDIAC, NB - Rita Surette, 79, of Résidences Beau Séjour, Shediac and formerly of St. Antoine, wife of the late Omer Surette (1989), passed away at the Dr. G.L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Sunday, August 15, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint-Antoine de Kent, NB on August 28, 1924, daughter of the late Alphée Allain and Marie Goguen. She was a school teacher for approximately 8 years, teaching in Kent County Grade 1 to 8 and 2 years in teaching adults. She was also employed with Leger Home Hardware, Saint-Antoine for several years and attended Saint-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, SaintAntoine. Survived by five daughters, RoseMay Goguen (Bertin) of Bouctouche, Jacinthe Duval (Normand) of Dieppe, Bernice Nowlan (Léonce) of SainteMarie de Kent, Nicole Léger of Moncton, Hectorine Girouard (Yvon) of Shediac; three sisters, Clara Lainesse of Montréal, Dora Lainesse of Montmagny, Qué., Stella LeBlanc (Alonzo) of Barachois; five brothers, Laurie (Loretta), Alonzo, Georges Alfred, Clarence (Yvonne), all of Saint-Antoine de Kent, Albert (Vicky) of Cocagne; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one sister, Alida. Remains resting at Saint-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Slumber Room, Sainte-Antoine de Kent with visiting hours on Tuesday, August 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Wednesday from 2 to 3:45 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Saint-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine de Kent on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 4:00 pm. Interment in the parish cemetery.
