Dorothy W. Dickson 1912-2004 NAPAN, N.B. - Mrs. Dorothy Wilhemina Dickson, widow of the late MacLaughlin (Mac) Dickson, of the North Napan Road, passed away on arrival at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at the age of 91. Born in Napan, she was the daughter of the late Osborne and Catherine (Dickson) Dickson. She was a homemaker and a member of Carmel United Church, Napan; a life member as well as active member of the U.C.W.; a former member of the Ladies Aid. Dot was an avid card and domino player who was also gifted with an alert mind and a keen memory. She is survived by one daughter, Katherine Dickson Cameron of Truro, N.S.; one daughter in law, Velna Dickson of Miramichi; two sisters, Maye Upham of St. Stephen and Verne Dickson (Ivan) of Napan; one brother, Harold Dickson of Port Alberni, Vancouver Island, B.C.; one sister in law, Lillian Dickson of Miramichi; six grandchildren, Sheila Cameron, Karen Cameron, Craig Cameron, Sheldon Dickson, Scott Dickson, Nancy Dickson; nine great grandchildren, Jessica Ellard, Rebecca Ellard, Sarah Ellard, Emily Ellard, MacLaughlin Ellard, Mei Ellard, Laura Godfrey, Taylor Godfrey, Hanna Ray Dickson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Mac, in 1990; one son, Raymond Dickson; one sister, Susan Wilson; two brothers, Earle Dickson and Burton Dickson. Visiting will be on Friday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Carmel United Church, Napan, on Saturday, August 28, 2004, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Carmel United Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
