Aubrey J. Silliker SILLIKERS, NB - Aubrey James Silliker, husband of Genevieve (Tozer) Silliker of Sillikers, NB, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2004, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 81. Born in Sillikers, NB, he was the son of the late Warren Lester and Martha Love (Matchett) Silliker. In his early years, he briefly worked for the New Brunswick Telephone Company; and for several years with John Somers' logging operation. In 1950, he opened a General Store adjacent to his home in Sillikers, and was a successful General Merchant, with his wife Genevieve. Besides his wife, Genevieve, he is survived by one son, Charles Rockwell (Rocky) Silliker; daughter-in-law, Deborah H. (Cameron) Silliker; granddaughter, Marlee Linnea Cameron Silliker; one sister, Elva Gladys (Silliker) Allison; aunt, Gwen (Silliker) Saunders; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Lloyd Allan Silliker and Donald Earl Silliker; one sister, Vivian Ethel (Silliker) Allison. Resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 30, 2004 at 2:30 pm from Davidson's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilbur Matthews officiating. Burial in the family plot of Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery.
