Howard E. Wheeler 1911-2004 SACKVILLE, N.B.- Howard E. Wheeler, age 92 , of Sackville, N.B., passed away suddenly on September 27, 2004 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, N.B. Born in Runnymede, P.Q., on October 7, 1911, he was the son of the late David and Grace (Dawson) Wheeler. Howard was a farmer and salmon guide in his younger years, was a produce manager until his retirement, and was a member of active service during the war. Howard was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, loved his garden and was an avid card player and story teller. Howard is survived by his wife, Margaret Wheeler of Sackville, N.B.; one son, Eric (Dorothy) Wheeler of Sackville, N.B. and one daughter, Barbara H. Wheeler of Fredericton, N.B.; one sister-in-law, Margaret Wheeler of Dalhousie, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. Howard was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his son, Gordon Wheeler in 2001. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request of the family. A memorial service will be held from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Sackville, N.B. on Friday, October 1, 2004 at 2 pm with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery. A time of fellowship and remembrance will be shared following the burial, at St. Paul's Anglican Church Hall. Donations in Howard's memory may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or to the charity of one's choice.
