Gerald H. Braam UPPER COVERDALE, NB - It is with great sadness that the family announce that Gerald Braam has lost his battle with cancer on Monday, October 4, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in the Netherlands on May 8, 1930, he and his bride, Annie married and immigrated to Canada in 1955 to pursue their love of farming. After farming Gerald joined D.H.A.S. as a milk tester and also worked part-time for Eastern Breeders. Gerald's greatest joy was watching his children grow into adulthood with families of their own. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Annie; six children, Henry (Shellay) of Leduc, A.B., Rita McKinley (Mark) of Riverview, John (Maria) of Saint John, Wilma Hicks (Bob) of Moncton, Janet Braam (Stan) of Toronto, Steven (Stacia) of Calgary; eight grandchildren, Marney Braam, Meaghan, Courtney and Matthew McKinley, Sarah and Eric Braam, Patrick and Katherine Hicks. Survived also by two sisters and a brother in the Netherlands, by a sisterin-law in the Netherlands and a sisterin-law in Hillsborough and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five brothers and a sister. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday 6 to 9 p.m. Prayers and a memory celebration will be held at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Jude's Church in Salisbury on Thursday, October 7 at 11 a.m. Interment at Our Lady Of Mercy Cemetery, Leaman Hill.
