Geraldine McKean 1917 - 2004 Geraldine "Geddy" McKean, of K. E. Spencer Memorial Home, formerly of Peoples Park Tower, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at the age of 87. Born in Dartmouth, NS, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Eunice (Sterns) Allen. She was employed by the US Consulate in Halifax, NS; The Moncton Hospital; and was a homemaker while her children were growing up. She was a long time member of Mountain View United Church. She is survived by three children, Joan Crossman (Peter) of Dieppe, Ross (Barbara Langen) of Fredericton, NB, and Sandy (Donna Spevakow) of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Chris (Joanne) Fawcett of Riverview, Martha Burnham (Steve) of Oakville, NB and Michelle Rutledge (Gerry) of Toronto, NB; great grandchildren, Callie and Dylann Fawcett, Lauren Burnham and Jakob and Benjamin Rutledge. Geraldine is survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Allen of Shelburn, NS; and several nieces and a nephew. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alex in 1987 and her brother, John Allen in 1990. At her request, there will be no visitation and a private family service will be held. If so desired, donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.
