Robert Burns MacIntyre
Robert Burns MacIntyre 1953 - 2004 51 year old Robert Burns MacIntyre of Moncton passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2004 at The Moncton Hospital following a brief and courageous battle with Cancer. A native of Sydney, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Irene (Burns) and the late Donald MacIntyre. Most recently Robert completed a Business and Computer program at Compu College in Moncton and was employed for 13 years as a senior reporter/editor with Maritime Broadcasting Limited, which operates local radio stations CKCW and CFQM. Mr. MacIntyre spent the previous 10 years as an assistant news director at CFNB radio in Fredericton, as well as working at radio stations in Bathurst, NB and Sydney, NS. Mr. MacIntyre is survived by his loving partner, Kimberly Garnett; his mother, Irene of Sidney, NS; three brothers, Donald (Marilyn) of Lower Sackville, NS, Charles "Chick" (Raylene) of Sydney and Gus (Chris) of Kentville, NS. He is also survived by five sisters, Joan of Halifax, Mary (Malcolm) Gamble of Sydney, Irene (Eric) MacLeod of Fredericton, NB, Beverly (Jean-Claude) Berry of De La Ramee, France, and Clair (Neil) MacNeil of Sydney. Mr. MacIntyre also leaves behind 22 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Donald (1970) and his brother, Doug (1996). Robert's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at The Moncton Hospital for their friendship and professionalism during his illness. With respect for Robert's wishes, there will be no visitation prior to the Graveside Memorial Service to be held on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 2:00 PM in the Serenity Nitch of Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, 1167 Salisbury Road, Moncton.
