John Comfort Killam PETITCODIAC, NB - John Comfort Killam of Petitcodiac, age 72, passed away Friday, October 22, 2004 at The Saint John Regional Hospital, following a brief illness. Born May 1, 1932 in Harewood, he was a son of the late Kenneth E. and Florence M. (Gould) Killam. John was a retired woodsworker. He was happiest when someone dropped in for a visit or a game of crib and a coffee. He loved the outdoors, going for a ride on his four wheeler, gardening, or puttering around with his tractor. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Myrtle (Black); a daughter, Shelley Damery (Gary) of Salisbury; sons, Scotty (Leeann) of Petitcodiac, and Tony (Jill) of Fawcett Hill; six dearly beloved grandchildren; brother, Arnold Killam (Beatrice) of Salisbury; sisters, Freda Morrow (John) of Moncton, and Alta Killam of Petitcodiac; sister-in-law, Joyce Killam of Petitcodiac; brother-inlaw, Harold Wall of Malden; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Ellen Fall, Beatrice Powers; brother, James; brother-in-law, George Beck. Resting at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, with visiting hours on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral will be held from the Petitcodiac Baptist Church on Monday, October 25, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Rev. K. McRae and Rev. G. Cook officiating. Burial will be held in Maplewood Cemetery.
