Acquila J. Girouard SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Acquila J. Girouard, age 96, of Sackville, NB, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Saturday, October 30, 2004. Born in St. Marie De Kent, NB, he was a son of the late Pierre and Margaret (Arsenault) Girouard. Acquila farmed for 24 years, then worked at Enamel and Heating Co. for 24 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church, Sackville. Acquila will be sadly missed by his wife of 72 years, the former Edmee Babineau; a daughter, Dorette (Raymond) Briggs of Sackville; sons, Alfred of Leominster, Mass and Laurie (Louise) of Fitchburg, Mass; a sister, Corinne Girouard of Bouctouche; two brothers, Neil and Christopher; five grandchildren; and three great grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Ivan and by brothers, Albert, Desire, Claude, Philip, Arthur and Zoel. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home,70 Bridge Street, Sackville with visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral mass will be held at St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
