Floyd McCormick COLPITTS SETTLEMENT, NB - Floyd Andrew McCormick, 67, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2004 at The Moncton Hospital following a sudden illness. Born in Colpitts Settlement he was a son of the late Charles and Elvina (Rogers) McCormick. Floyd was a retired school bus driver with over 30 years service and was a former employee of Colpitts Woodworkers and Graves Storage Barns. Floyd enjoyed gardening and farming, both his own and helping family and friends with theirs. He enjoyed sharing the bounty of his harvest with neighbors. He was an avid cribbage player in the local tournaments, attended the Nixon Baptist Church and the Salisbury Monday Morning Merry Makers. He will be sadly missed by his wife of seven years, Cheryl (Geldart); his children, Donna Goodwin, Truro, Wayne (Susan), Ottawa, Wendy Allain (Mario), Dieppe; grandchildren, Drew, Katie, Marissa, Blake and Jasmine; stepdaughters, Donna and Jennifer; sisters, Jean Chapman, Salisbury, Marguerite Weir, Shirley Lewis (Cecil), Brenda Lewis (Russell), Colpitts Settlement; brothers, Aubrey (Loretta), Upper Coverdale, Leonard (Audrey), Colpitts Settlement, Reid (Clara), Mollins Road; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth, Lena, Pearl and Wanda; brothers, Harvey, Clarence, Kenny and Merle. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visitation Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Meenink officiating. Interment at the Colpitts Community Cemetery. If so desired, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
