Blayne Lawrence Smith HALIFAX, NS - Blayne Lawrence Smith, 56, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2004 surrounded by family and close friends. Born in Halifax, he graduated from St. Mary's University with a degree in Business Administration. Blayne participated in many extra curricular activities including playing for the St. Mary's Huskies Football Team. After obtaining a diploma in Logistics, he spent his entire career in the logistics and distribution field throughout Canada and the United States; working in Calgary, Memphis, Colorado Springs and Dallas. Blayne mentored and touched the lives of many people throughout his working life, ending his career with Tibbett Britten Group in Dallas, Texas as the Vice President of Operations for North America. He loved playing cards or easily defeating any opponent in a game of darts. He was predeceased by his father, Desmond Joseph Smith. Blayne is survived by his mother, Elinor Smith, Moncton; sister, Noreen Turner, Halifax; and brothers, Malcolm Smith, Kamloops, BC, Neil Smith, Dalhousie, NB.
