Alyre Gallant 1914 - 2004 GRANDE-DIGUE, NB - Alyre Gallant, 89, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born on February 26, 1914 in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Edouard Gallant and Elizabeth Babineau. He was a farmer until his retirement and attended La Visitation Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Viola (Hebert) Gallant of Grande-Digue; three daughters, Lucia Hebert (Normand), Lucienne Leger (Normand) both from Grande-Digue,NB, Denise Gallant, La Pocatiere, Que; seven sons, Alonzo (Elda), Normand (Annette), Leonard (Jeanne), Clarence (Gemma), Donald (Geraldine), Bernard (Lucille) all from Grande-Digue, Roger (Nelida) of Cocagne; two sisters, Imelda Leger (feu Henri) Shediac and Lina Vaillancourt (feu Arthur), Montreal, Que; 18 grandchildren; and 10 Great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister, Juliette; three brothers, Yvon, Jacob and Auguste. As requested by the family, there will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, GrandeDigue on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 7pm. Interment in La Visitation Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
