G. Vernon Markle G. Vernon Markle, 91, of Buckingham Place, Riverview, passed into the presence of the Lord at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, November 26, 2004 after a brief illness. Born in Midhurst, ON, son of the late Gilbert and Jessie Mae (Orok) Markle. Vernon was a retired missionary having served in Cuba and El Salvador, and was a member of The Moncton Gospel Hall. Vernon will be sadly missed by his children, Paul (Joanne), Ottawa, ON: Dawn Heels (Edward), Midland, ON: Zonya Stuart (Jim), Riverview; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Ilda E. (Paul) Markle (November 22, 1999); and brothers, Herbert and David Markle. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service at Riverview High School, Sunday, November 28, 2004, 3:30pm, Albert Hall, Wallace Buckle and David Swan officiating. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
