J.C. Donat Godin HAUTE ABOUJAGANE, NB - Joseph Charles Donat Godin, 77, of Haute Aboujagane, N.B., passed away suddenly at Moncton's Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on December 6, 2004. He was the husband of Gene Palmer. Born July 1, 1927, he was the son of Louis C. Godin and the late Lucie Thériault of Bertrand. Mr. Godin was employed by Canada National - Marine Atlantic for 41 years. He is survived by the mother of his children, Genevieve Haché; six daughters, Marjolaine (Alvida Godin) of NotreDame-des-Erables, Denise of Paquetville, Jocelyne and Lisette, both of Bertrand, Mireille (Marc LeBlanc) of Grande-Digue and Anne (Florent Godin) of Caraquet; two sons, Réjean of Losier Settlement and Pierre of Montréal, QC; 12 grandchildren, Daniel, Simon, Luc, François, Murielle, Caroline, David, Francis, Brigitte, Julien-Pier, Charle and Raphaelle; one daughter-in-law, Johanne Godin; two sons-in-law, JeanClaude Caissie and Fernand Landry; five sisters, Rita, Jeanine (Raymond), Rosa, Louise (Jacques) and Lucienne (Fernando); five brothers, Gildard (Marie), Jean (Marcella), Rufin (Thérèse), Philibert (Lucienne) and Roland (Pierrette); one brother-in-law, Wallace Chamberland; the children of Gene, Phylis Hungate (Steve) and Sandi Sand both of California, Jim Sand (Carol) and Kim, both of Michigan, Toni of Iowa and Terrie (Kathy) of Texas; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Rodrigue (1975) and one sister, Anna (1990). Visitation will be held at the Racicot Funeral Home, 49A Rue du Portage, Caraquet, NB, between the hours of 1 pm and 3 pm on Friday, December 10, 2004.
