Thomas Ian (Max) Houlston MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Mr. Thomas Ian (Max) Houlston, husband of Muriel (Molly) (Bowes) Houlston of King George Highway, Miramichi, NB occurred on Friday, January 7, 2005 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 82. Born in Derby Junction, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Catherine (Grant) Houlston. He was retired from the Renous Ammunition Depot, Overseas Veteran of WWII and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 10. Besides his wife, Molly, Max is survived by five daughters, Terry Houlston of Winnipeg, MB, Barbara Burrell of Ottawa, ON, Maria Campbell (Alan) of Moncton, NB, Judy Houlston-Guthrie (Brian) of Ottawa, ON, Kay Auger (Bob) of Ottawa, ON; five sons, Robert (Nancy), Tommy (Dawn), Richard, all of Miramichi, NB, Paul (Helene) of Ottawa, ON, Ronnie (Vicky) of Sunny Corner, NB; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Max was predeceased by two brothers, Don and Bobby; and two sisters, Betty MacCallum and Bonnie McLaughlin. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, on Sunday, January 9, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Monday at 11 AM with Father David Martin officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a memorial of one's choice.
