Leslie Murray SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Leslie Murray, age 87, of Sackville, formerly of Port Elgin, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home, on Tuesday, February 8, 2005. Born in Port Elgin, NB, he was a son of the late William and Martha (Scrimgeour) Murray. Leslie was a lifelong farmer, a member and past elder of the Trinity United Church, Port Elgin. In addition to his wife, the former Alice Pooley of Port Elgin, he is survived by two step-daughters, Doris (Carl) Pauley, Port Elgin and Ruth (Doug) Prentice, Hamilton, ON; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Burt and Kenneth and a sister, Mary. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin, NB (364-1300) with visiting hours from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 11, 2005, at 2 pm Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery in the spring.
