Amerylis "Mimi" Girouard Amerylis "Mimi" Girouard, 76, wife of George Girouard, of Murphy Avenue, Moncton, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 2, 1928 in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late François and Henriette (LeBlanc) Berthe. Mimi was employed with Co-op Atlantic prior to her retirement. She was also past president and co-founder of "Club 112" at Robichaud Apartments. She will be sadly missed by George, her loving husband of 54 years; daughters, Jolande Girouard-Collin (Zoël) and Louise Girouard (Peter Squires) both of Fredericton; four grandchildren, Mathieu Collin, Natasha Squires, Monique Squires, and Jeffrey Squires; two sisters, Yolande Richard (late René) of Granby, QC and Roseline Chenard (late Gérard) of Moncton; a brother, LouisPhilippe Berthe (Geneva) of Bouctouche; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister, Alice Cormier; brothers, Gérard, Alphée, and Lionel Berthe. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900). Visiting hours Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of departure (9:45). The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 7, 2005 at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church (Murphy Avenue) Moncton. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
