David Alexander Watson, 67, of Ainsworth, BC, formerly of Pictou County, NS, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2009 in Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Born February 14, 1942 in Six Mile Brook, NS, he was the son of the late Norman and Gertrude (Graham) Watson.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his eldest son, Allen, Manitoba; also, a sister, Virginia; and a brother, Ronald, in childhood.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Watson; five children: Nancy (Eric), (Nadine) widow of Allen, Mike (Gretta), Paul (Bev), Laura (Carl), Justin (Melina) and three step-children: Duane, Doug, and Tanya; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; siblings: Helen, Neil (Irene), Roxie (Sid), Allie, Shirley (Wally), Flora (Barry), and Jean.
Dad was an adventurous independent spirit, which led him across Canada numerous times. He was well known for his master carpentry skills, love of horses, and was an avid outdoorsman. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
