Benjamin R.J. Thompson MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Benjamin R.J. Thompson, husband of Margaret (Fillmore) Thompson, of Old King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 82. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Jane Thompson. He was retired from the Provincial Department of Finance. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Charter Member of the Father Dixon Council. Besides his wife he is survived by six daughters, Patricia Ross (Patrick) of Ottawa, ON, Florence Murray (Douglas) of Miramichi, NB, Carol Black (Richard) of Miramichi, Shirley Gallant (Harry) of Miramichi, Roberta Gallant (Paul) of Quispamsis and Mary Buckley (Paul) of Miramichi; 12 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by foster parents, Ben and Mary Anne Duplessie; three sisters, Frances Cood, Mary Quinn and Gertrude Quinn; two brothers, Cecil and George; one foster sister, Cecilia and one foster brother, Orval. Mr. Benjamin Thompson is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, with visitation today from 2 to 4 and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 11 am from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi, NB.
