Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton on Sunday March 1, 2009 with his loving wife and family by his side, of Alfred Thaddeus McInnis beloved husband of Thelma Mary nee LeClair McInnis of 362 Church Street, Tignish age 76 years. Born in Tignish on February 28, 1933 he was the son of the late John W. and Gertrude nee Coughlin McInnis. Lovingly remembered by his sons and daughters, Darlene (Joey) Gaudet of Woodvale, John (Tammy) of St. Lawrence, Bernard (Violet) of Long Creek, Janet (Vincent) Shea of Sea Cow Pond, Paulette (Vincent) Pitre of New Haven, Michael (Connie) of Tignish, Elaine (Terry) Gaudet of St. Felix, James (Shelley) of Cornwall, Ronnie (Lisa) of Kamloops, B.C., Keith (Lorna) of Tignish, Lou Ann (Kenneth) Perry of St. Roch. He will be forever loved and sadly missed by his 26 grandchildren and by his 9 great-grandhildren. Dear brother to Winnifred (Late Claude) LeClair of Maplewood Manor Alberton. He is also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law, Alyre (Louise) LeClair of Tignish, Yvonne (Ray) Rennie of Worcester Mass., Roy (Judy) LeClair of Tignish, Earl (Gloria) LeClair of Tignish, Jerry (Blanche) LeClair of North Sydney N.S. Marie Harreden of Atlanta, Georgia, Johnny Hackett of Tignish. He was predeceased by 4 grandchildren Gina, Jody, Chad, and Braeden McInnis. He was also predeceased by brothers and sisters, Stephen (Late Bertha), Stafford, Bernard,Margaret (Johnny) Hackett, Rita (Late Edgar) Gavin, Frances (Late Les) Hood and Gertrude (Late Wilson) Gavin. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the church cemetery. If so desired memorials to St. Simon and St. Jude Organ Fund or to the Tignish Fire Dept. would be gratefully appreciated.
