Gloria Marguerite Logan, 83, Truro, passed away Saturday Feb. 28, 2009 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
Born in Hantsport, she was a daughter of the late John and Hilda (Alley) Sanford. Gloria was a school teacher on ÃŽles-de-la-Madeleine and in the Camden Country School for many years.
She was a member of the McCulloch United Church and was an active member of the McCulloch-Harmony U.C.W. Gloria enjoyed writing plays that the U.C.W. would perform. She wrote many children’s story books as well. Gloria was a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and owned and operated the Rock Valley Kennel Club where she raised German shepherds. She loved the outdoors and spending time in her many flower gardens. Gloria will be loved and missed dearly by all who knew her.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her husband Raymond and nieces and nephews. Gloria is predeceased by sister Doris Cargill and brother John.
At Gloria’s request there will be no visitation or memorial service. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Camden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Camden-Harmony U.C.W.
