Dorothy Murphy PALM DESERT, CA - Mrs. Dorothy Murphy of Palm Desert, California passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 65. Born in Moncton on May 2, 1939, she was owner of Newman's Vacuums and Appliances in Santa Monica, California. She also worked for C's Candy in Palm Springs. She will be sadly missed by husband Stanley Murphy. Daughter of Mary Melanson and the late Aurèle Melanson. She is survived by three sisters, Ann LeBlanc (Régis) of Shediac, Béatrice Hébert of Shediac, Theresa Morton of Riverview; two brothers, Camille Melanson of Grand Anse and Alban LeBlanc of Moncton. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Eloi Melanson of Moncton and Aurèle (Titi) Melanson of Moncton. Services will be held at her home in Palm Desert, California. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her and loved her.
