Marie M. Bernard 1921 - 2005 CANAAN, NB - Marie Bernard, age 83, of Canaan, NB passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at her daughter's residence in Notre Dame of heart failure. Born in Collette, NB on November 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Benoit and Obeline (Gaudet) Buotte. Marie was retired from the Hotel Dieu Hospital of Moncton. She was a member of the club d'age d'or both Christ Roi and Notre Dame de Grace. She was a very enthusiastic bowler and dart player. Marie will be sadly missed by her eight children, Elvina Mitchell of Alberta, Noella (Eugène) Bourgeois of Moncton, Louis Bernard of Brampton, Raymond (Jeanette) Bernard of Irishtown, Rosella (Léonard) Leblanc of Canaan, Doris (Ulysse) Doiron of Memramcook, Anna (Emile) Richard of Notre-Dame, and Jeanne (Eugène) Gauvin of Lakeside Estates; one sister, Sr. Marie Anne Buotte of Sherbrook, PQ; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Bernard of 62 years; as well as three brothers and two sisters, Joseph, Wilfred, Michel, Sr. Josephine Buotte and Yvonne. Visitation at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, April 29 from 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home, with a reception to follow in the Garden View Reception Room.
