Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Saturday, February 28, 2009, Michael Joseph Patey, aged 60 years. Better known in Torbay as Junior Cole, foster son of Sam and Janie Cole. Michael resided at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex for the past 20 years due to a debilitating stroke. Leaving to mourn his children: Cindy, Susie, Michael, their mother Betty and Ashley, her mother Beryl; brothers: Donnie, Pattie, Mark, Glen, Rick, Raymond; sisters: Elaine, Joy, Roxanne, Eileen, Charlene and Dell; his close foster brother Rev. Gerald Hayes and foster sister Thelma May Verge. Predeceased by his mother Sadie and his foster parents Sam and Janie Cole. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment at St. Nicholas Anglican Cemetery in Torbay.
