Bernard Melanson Bernard Melanson, 67, of Moncton passed away Monday, May 16, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born February 22, 1938 in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Albert and Marie (Bourque) Melanson. Bernard was employed at East Coast Sheet Metal before his retirement. He also enjoyed being outdoors and nature, woodcarving and antler carving. He will be sadly missed by Eva (Bourque) Melanson, for 38 years his loving wife; four sisters, Bernadette Gaudet (Ernest) of Pré-d'en-Haut, Germaine Gagnon (Norman) of Mass., Huberte Gallant (late Émile) of Shediac, Rita Legere of Moncton; three brothers, George (Barbara) of Ontario, Norbert (Linda) of Moncton, Vincent (Gisèle) of Irishtown, two aunts, several nieces and nephews. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900). Visiting hours Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2005 at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Murphy Avenue, Moncton. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
