Daisy G. Eagles SALISBURY, NB - Daisy Gladys Eagles, 81, of Salisbury went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 30, 2005 at The Moncton Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. Born at the family homestead on the Alward Road, February 6, 1924, she was a daughter of the late George and Sophie (O'Neal) Killam. Daisy retired from The Moncton Hospital as a seamstress, was an active member of the Killam's Mills Full Gospel Assembly for most of her life, and a former volunteer at the Spencer Home. She married Waldo Arthur MacLeod and they had two children Annabelle and Waldo. Waldo Sr. was killed overseas in WWII, and later in life she married Lyman Eagles, who also predeceased her. Daisy is survived by her daughter, Annabelle Hunt (Ted) of Oklahoma; son, Waldo MacLeod (Norma) of River Glade; eleven grandchildren, David Brownell (Sonia), Paul Brownell (Barbara), Bruce Brownell and Tom Hunt of Oklahoma, Davina Lockhart (Roger) of Arkansas, Michelle Noto (Brian) and Mark Hunt of California, Tim MacLeod (Eunice), Martin MacLeod (Lorie) of Mont Eagle, Scott MacLeod (Rose) and Shelly Hallihan (Darin) of Riverview; and twenty-eight great grandchildren. Survived also by a sister, Myrtle Melvin of Havelock; sisters-in-law, Doris Eagles, Evelyn Killam, Ida Eagles, Evelyn Eagles, Florence Killam, Etta Killam, Iola Corpora, Florence Alward and Edna O'Blenis; brothers-in-law, Freeman, Robert and Everett MacLeod; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Stella Herrington, Berdie MacLeod, Margaret MacLeod and Retta MacKenzie; brothers, Byron, Clifford, Charlie, Manford and Arthur Killam. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and from where the Funeral will be held Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Howard Holmes officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
