Dora Elinor Cunningham 1921 - 2005 The death of Dora Elinor Cunningham, widow of Ronald Cunningham occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, June 27, 2005. Born in Chipman, NB on June 4, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Clara (Stilwell) Holsen. Dora had retired from the T. Eaton Co. after 25 years service. She was a member of Central United Church and a member of the U.C.W. A life member of the Moncton Golf Club, she was a past president of the Ladies Division; a former member of the Beaver Curling Club and a past president of the Beaver Business Ladies. She was a longtime member of the Lions Senior Bridge Club. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Bateman (George) of Shediac Cape; her son, Bruce (Stella) of Salisbury; one brother, Douglas Holsen (Jean) of Moncton; five grandchildren Graham (Sheri Ross) Bateman, Jennifer Bateman, Kimberley (Dean) Brown, Derek (Heidi) Cunningham and Wesley Cunningham; three great grandchildren Gillian Brown, Daylen Brown and Victoria Cunningham; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ronald, she was predeceased by her sisters Edith White, Irma Perkins and Marion Donegani. There will not be any visiting hours prior to a memorial service which will be held in Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street Moncton on Thursday, June 30 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the reception room of the funeral home. Memorials in Dora's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Central United Church or the memorial of the donor's choice.
