Wesley J. Powell 1916 - 2005 Wesley J. Powell, formerly of Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, died on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at The Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home at the age of 89 years. Born in Moncton, NB he was the son of Percy Powell and May Melanson. He had been a carpenter and he played the violin. He had won the Times & Transcript crossword puzzle contest 25 times. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Landry) Powell of Oshawa, ON; two sons, Larry (Phyllis) of Moncton and Dennis of Oshawa; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Reinthal of Reading, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Roy and Lloyd; and a sister Stella. There will be no viewing or service by request. Cremation will take place with an interment at a later date.
