Ardith (Weir) Bannister 1943 - 2005 RED DEER, AB - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ardith Mae Bannister at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 23 at the age of 62. She will be missed more than words can say by her best friend and husbandof-the-heart, Russell Bannister; son, Jeffrey; daughters, Naomi (Larry), Terri (John), Angela (Ken), and fosterdaughter, Denise (Joe). Ardith's grandchildren, Alysha, Tori, Erica, Jayce, Hailey, and Riley were the lights of her life and gave her tremendous hope and happiness. Ardith is also survived by her sister, Sheila (Laurence) Reid; brothers, David (Sheila), Earl (Janet), Dale (Yvonne), and Royden (Suzanne) Weir; sisters-in-law, Vivian, Beatrice (Gerald), and Pauline (Merle). She was predeceased by her father, David; mother, Sadie Weir, and brothers, Gerald and Merle. Besides her immediate family, Ardith touched the lives of countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She accepted everyone just the way they are; therefore, we invite you to attend her memorial services just the way you are. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, June 29, 7:30 to 8:30 pm, with funeral service at 11:00 am Thursday, June 30, 2005. Both services will be held at the Parkland Funeral Home, 6287-67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta, with graveside service to follow at Alto Reste Cemetery.
