Alan J. Orr 1914 - 2005 Alan J. Orr, 91, of Moncton and formerly of St. George Blvd., passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, July 2, 2005. Born in Lewisville, NB on May 31, 1914, he was the son of the late Alfred John Orr and Ella Beatrice Barnes. He was the owner of Orr's Grill in Moncton, The Pine Cabins on Salisbury Road and Al Orr Auto Sales. Alan was a member of Steeves Memorial United Church, Salisbury Road. He was a member of Knights of Pythia Westmorland Lodge #3, Tidabora Temple #259, Keith Lodge #23 F&AM and the Scottish Rite, Moncton Shrine. He is survived by his son, Eugene Orr (Janet) of Moncton; three grandchildren, Stephen Orr (Colleen) of Toronto, Brenda Orr of Riverview and Jill Jones (David) of Cold Lake, AB; six greatgrandchildren, Matthew, Conrad, Garrett, Alexander, Chloe and Sarah; one sister, Vesta Margaret Donnelly of Moncton; by his very dear friend, Margaret Shirley; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Elsie Orr (Shaffer) in 1999; seven sisters, Olive Tait, Florence Hold, Ruth Mitton, Doras, Alda, Ella and Esther; and by six brothers, Aubrey, Claude, Burton, Ernest, Ora and a baby boy. Visitation is at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz Street, Moncton on Monday, July 4, 2005 from 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. The Knights of Pythias Westmorland Lodge #3 will hold a service at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home Monday evening July 4, 2005 at 7:00pm. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
