Katherine Munro (MacIntosh) Wilson in her 96th year, passed away peacefully at Allendale Nursing Home, Milton, Ont., on February 6, 2009.
She was predeceased by husband, Adrian; sons, John and Wayne and granddaughter Cathy.
She is survived by her son, Joe and his wife, Valerie of Calgary; grandchildren, Christopher, Ian, Andrea, Amanda and Derek; great-grandchildren, Raven, Christine and Riley.
She was predeceased by brothers, Earl, Dan, Harriett (Kemp), Erma and Anna (Gouthro).
Katie was born in Donkin, the second eldest child of John and Annie (Panton) MacIntosh. She grew up in Dominion and in her late teens she moved to the U.S. A few years later she returned to Dominion, married Adrian, raising their family on Neville Street until the late 50s when they to Toronto.
She was a very proud of her Scottish heritage and Cape Breton roots. Any news from her old home town sparked her interest and was topic of discussion up until her final days. She was a special person who touched the hearts of all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
