Oliver Lewis Oliver Ira Lewis, born July 17, 1912, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, peacefully in his sleep. He was a son of the late Thomas and Alice (Neil) Lewis, Monteagle, N.B. He lived most of his life in New Brunswick as a maintenance engineer for the C.N.R. He moved with his late wife, Doris (Hiltz) to Nova Scotia in 1984. He was widowed in 1987 and spent the remainder of his life, except for the last eight months, living with his son, William S. Lewis in Cow Bay and later in Halifax. His daughter, Phyllis and her eight children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren live on Vancouver Island. Oliver is survived by sisters, Rachel Lewis, Monteagle, Leola Smith, Salisbury; brother, Freeman Lewis, Monteagle. He was predeceased by 11 other siblings. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the Second North River Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Hunter officiating. There will be visitation with the family at 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the Monteagle Cemetery.
