Arnelia D. Davis Arnelia D. Davis, 89, of Moncton, and formerly of Apple River, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2005 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in West Apple River, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche (Spicer) McWhirter. She graduated from Normal College, Truro in 1935 and later taught school for 22 years in West Apple River, Apple River, Advocate and at the Queen Elizabeth School, Moncton. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Moncton for many years. She is survived by brothers, Richard McWhirter (Ann), Toronto, Ont.; Cyril McWhirter (Elaine), Napanee, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ivan; a brother, Darrell. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2005 in Emmanuel Baptist Church, Moncton, Dr. Tim Friesen officiating. Burial in the Advocate Cemetery.
