Harry A. Wry HARCOURT, NB - Harry A. Wry, 77, beloved husband of Betty (Beers) Wry, of Harcourt passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital in the presence of his family on Friday, July 8, 2005 following a brief illness with cancer. Born in Harcourt, he was the son of the late Arthur and Maude (Shirley) Wry. Harry loved his wife and family, Jessie, his little white dog, playing cards at the camp, harness racing and he was passionate about improving his community, especially the Fire Department. Harry worked at CNR for 21 years as a crane operator. At 41 years of age, he left CN to establish his own business, Harry's Variety, in Harcourt which he operated until retirement and then kept under his daily watchful eye. Besides his wife, Betty, he will be sadly missed by his daughters, Juanita Scott (Dean), Clairville, Shelley Cail (David), Harcourt; sons, Wade (Judy), Moncton, Dean (Bernice), Riverview, Dana (Christine), Brookfield, NS, Jim (Debbie), Rexton; grandchildren, BobbiJo, Marty, Jeffery, Marly, Matthew, Brandon, Bailey, Kennedy, Tori, Holly; sisters, Madeline Chaters, Sudbury, Dorothy Beers (Cecil), Harcourt, Buelah Castilloux (Earnest), Sudbury, Betty Butler (Murdock), Oakville, Lorraine Scott (John), Harcourt; brothers, Robert (Carol), Cocagne Cape, Clyde (Myrna), Clairville; several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Sunday. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Monday, July 11, 2005, 1pm, Stephen Mawhinney officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, St. Andrew's United Church Cemetery, Rexton.
